PostSubject: Engineering Mode on the latest i68 (2009/09/02)???   Wed Sep 16, 2009 4:17 am

Hi I have searched for days trying to find the correct code to entering engineering mode on my i68. The guy I bought it from said that it was the latest model with a 6 page menu. And that no engineering code was offered. However I don't think it's an authentic sci-phone because the only codes I've gotten to work are: *#0000# (for version info) and *#06#. I have tried dozens of others with no luck. I'll list some of them below. I've heard that you can get the correct code with a hexeditor app and flash cable, but I don't want to pay for one right now. Is there any way I can get this phone into Engineering Mode? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Phone info:
Version: TG01_V2.1.0
Branch: 08A TG01
Serial#: MT012345678901234567
Build Time: 2009/09/02 17:50

A few of the codes I've tried with no success:
*#010101*#
*#666*#
*#3646633#
*#8560968#
*#82043036#
*#110*01#
*#987#
*#666*
*#777#
*#0044#
*#0886#
*#0034#

Haha. Well I figured I wouldn't get a response here but It was worth asking anyway. I broke down and bought a flash cable from mysciphoneshop. Hopefully using that and this hexeditor will tell me something. But honestly I don't know what I'm doing. I've flashed my old nikia 6133 phone before but never tried a hexeditor. If anyone knows more than I do please feel free to share. If I find a new EM code I'll post it. I'm planning on following this tutorial for the i9 (see big link below).

My reason for doing this in the first place is that the phone speakers and earphones are too quiet, and I'd much prefer widescreen texting. I wish you could hit the keys a little quicker too. Texting is kind of slow.

PostSubject: well...   Tue Oct 13, 2009 2:53 am

I got the cable and read my firmware. Hex had a few places with codes that were supposed to be for Engineering Mode, but none worked. I'm guessing this newest i68 6-pages phone just doesn't have it. Oh well.
