having problems

Hey guys, you will have noticed that your admin has been away for awhile. Both bryce and myself have just gotten into our holidays so we will be spending a lot more time around the site and spending well needed time doing some maintenance work. This site has certainly grown since it's debut last year, and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow over the years.

ok so all the information about the P168 is useful but i got mine from a friend a few months ago and i can't use it. Isn't it supposed to work with AT&T service provider? I have AT&T and when i put my sim card in it, and i turn it on it says no service why is that? and in your information said that if it doesn't have a number next to where it said made in Taiwan to stay a way from it. So is my phone no good? plz reply to my questions. i want to know why i can't use it. Oh yeah mine is the P168+.

You said, when you turn the phone on it says "no service". Do you mean the AT&T logo shows up on the top of the screen, but you have no service bars and the words "Emergency" or do you mean the sim card is not recognized? Some of these p168's won't accept a 3g sim card if you have one. They also are not all quadband, so if you live in the country and use AT&T, you're sol.
