| Your welcome. That site is large and somtimes difficult to navigate, so if you still have a link to the download or the file, you might want to post it to help others. |

| Thanks virdri. I'm downloading a copy for my personal use now. By the way, still haven't heard anything from the other fellow who was trying to flash a + w/ the c fw. Hope it didn't explode! |

| What I'm unable to write on this phone is arabic. Even when I select arabic the menus only appear with arabic letter but not as words. It doesn't combine words. Anybody know how to write arabic properly? |

when you mean "successfully" did your menu and options change?
you have to take note when flashing firmware, that is not compatible with your phone. or your chip setting. if it is not finding your your SIM it could mean trouble.
try taking your battery out letting your phone sit for 5 min or so. take your SIM card back out and place it back in making sure its seated. put a fully charged battery back in and turn it back on.
you may have to re-flash your phone back with a compatable firmware |

I mean it now has the dual sims and the IPhone menu and 4 or 5 games, better themes, the water ripple sound(LOL), My GSM only works using the auto setting and the phone os seems much faster now. If I use sim1 it says insert sim and if I use sim2 it just says emergency. Also this sim works in my att Blackberry and its sim gets the same emergency. I am not in a rush to use the phone since I have a BB but once I get this resolved I will mostly use this phone.
Thanks

| I am not sure how to tell my build. I am not sure where to find that at. I turned my phone off removed the battery for like 20 seconds started Superman 2.20 set the speed to 115200 K or what ever it is hit connect then chose my bin file then I hit the FLASH button in Superman I then hit the ON/OFF button (the red phone button on the P168+) about 20 minutes later it said file sent and COM port 1 down I think I turned the phone on and it was upgraded to P168C firmware and only the sims do not work anymore. I used to use a 3G that worked when it was a P168+ I see in her post a 2g Tmobile works which is what I am waiting on anyway so I will see how it goes since I am cancelling my ATT account. |

| Go into factory mode by keying in *#66*# on the key pad and select first option "version" then select first option "info summary". Also, did you say your phone has always been recognized by your pc with 3 options, or did you download a driver to get it to recognize the com port? |

| Wow, sounds like you got kinda lucky and got a freak phone! If you got time and still have your original fw file, maybe you could put it in a zip file and post it here or a link to it on one of the file sharing sites. I, along with others would be interested in checking out the differences in the file compared to ours. Maybe just another step into hacking into this phone.

| What do you mean a freak phone? Do you mean hardware or software wise? I upgraded it from P168+ to P168C. If you mean the original FW file. I didnt back it up. I live kind of dangerous at times. Then it motivates me to find a solution faster. |
