Hey guys, you will have noticed that your admin has been away for awhile. Both bryce and myself have just gotten into our holidays so we will be spending a lot more time around the site and spending well needed time doing some maintenance work. This site has certainly grown since it's debut last year, and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow over the years.

It's not bluetooth only. I have the 168+ with the 3 menu choices, that contains a COM port. This version works perfect with that. I also tried bluetooth, I couldn't believe how slow that went to download a phonebook. So for people also having the COM port option on their phone, i would advice using that since it speeds it up a lot (at least for me)

Can you give me the com port settings for your USB to Serial Port in Device Manager? I can't get the Phone Suite to communicate with the phone via USB.

i have the 3 option phone also, can this transfer be accomplished with the stock usb cable or do i need to get the china23 serial cable, I transfered my contacts from my verizon phone via bitpm from phone, export from bitpm to csv, import to outlook then export again as csv then import to pc-suite sync, as pc suite did not recognize my csv straight from bitpm. have not been able to get pc-suite to detect phone, nor active sync. with stock usb cable.

I was able to get my contacts into new phone with PC suite and stock usb cable, with my phone using com7, it detected, it took me a few minutes to figure out I had to copy/paste because there is no icon for uploading to phone in pc suite.

To put P168C to port Com you have to change de uart settings into the ingeneer mode : set PS config to port USB then the phone reboots.
Start the phone put the usb cable, windows detects a new hardware, install Mtk modem driver and enjoy !!

To reactivate the mass storage, do the same but put ps config to none instead of usb port.

Hi everyone,

I have got a KA08 phone for a week. It has 300 places for names and phone numbers. It can store much information like emails, phone numbers and more details for every contact. When I tried PhoneSuite via bluetooth I was pleased to see it works fine. But then I realized they applied only a phone number for every contact.
Maybe I am only a beginner but I have not found any method to synchronize well between Outlook and my phone with details.
