Hi gang, after some experimenting with a few (many!) methods of
getting video into the i9/sciphone i68 I found the following to work:
Download the Super converter
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.htmlinstall prism converter
open converter---click "add file" button--find and add your video
file.
***here I suggest you add a folder to your desktop with the label
"your phone" (in my case : i9 files)---within this folder make new
folders with labels: video, images, music, files...whatever else
you need.***
now back to the converter: 3 buttons along the lower left:
output format: (make this .3gp)
encoder options: settings: compressor...mpeg4
average bitrate...128
max bitrate...256
resolution...leave as is
audio
compressor...AAC
bitrate...64
edit output: settings: check "resize video" box
check "shrink or enlarge video" box
width:176
height...144
check " change framerate" box
framerate...10.00
ok button
***make sure you have selected your (phone) folder from the destop
as the destination...and in this case the video folder therein***
convert button
when finished transfer the file to the video folder on your phone and
away you go! ( I open two folders: the i9 phone folder on my desktop...
video folder and then: my computer-phone memory card (with phone
connected by usb)...video file) then drag and drop from desktop to mem card
***these settings worked with at least 3 converters (avs video converter,
ultra mobile 3gp video converter, prism video converter)...
I used "magic dvd ripper" to take video from dvd's , files on my computer
most were stored as mpeg or avi...then converted.
I hope this will assist anyone having problems with video or new to some phone
like the i9/sciphone i68...I'm told it also worked for 168 types.
Good Luck
