Hello all, I am new to the forums and I hope someone can assist me.

I own a Cect i9, love it but got a problem...

The phone turns on and off fine via the button fine, that is prior to following problem below. All the functions work great and if used continously there are no troubles what so ever.

Now for the problem: If I set it down and leave it alone. The phone after about 3 to 5 minutes seems to awaken itself from the stand-by state all by itself and freezes the entire phone? I can't turn it off via the button on the faceplate and LCD buttons are in-operable aswell.

The only way to get it operable again is to remove and reinstal the battery.

Is there a function I am missing? I have looked, but I could be overlooking something.

Things tried:

Increased / decreased backlight timer.

Reset phone to factory defaults

Please Help.

You stumped me on this one. Never heard of it before. Sounds like a short in the motherboard or somplace else in the phone. If you did a factory reset and never changed the lock code, I wouldn't think it would be a software problem.
If you have a flash cable you could try a reflash, but I would try to get a replacment from the seller if its under warrenty.
