Hello all, my wife just got a KA08 and we've noticed a few things that are pretty frustrating. Here goes the most frustrating as of now:
Firstly, we have been trying to load pictures on the memory card to view on the phone. Nearly all of them display as a completely black screen. After researching a bit, we're pretty confident it's due to incompatibility with the dimensions/file size/resolution of the existing picture. However, we've tried adjusting all of the above and have yet to find a combination/limitation that works. If it helps the majority of the photos were taken with a digital camera and adjusted with Photoshop on our iMac....
Secondly, we've been unable to delete the pre-loaded background images, or add more than one original image to those that are pre-loaded to cycle through. I'm fairly sure we've seen demo videos on YouTube of different backgrounds being cycled through...
Also, we don't see any way to add original tones for incoming sms or mms messages. As far as we've been able to see you're forced to chose from only the tones pre-loaded on the phone. Is there any way to change this?
And, speaking of MMS messages, is there any way to prevent the phone from "resizing" the photos that are both sent and received? If I send a message to my wife's KA08 using my POS Nokia it atomatically reduces the size of the image. In the same respect, if she sends me a photo to my phone, or even to an e-mail address, it does the same thing, reducing an image that was taken with the highest level of quality, and the largest dimensions to a tiny little photo of around 5-6Kb. Needless to say, the pictures look far less impressive. I wonder (I am ignorant so please excuse me) if the MMS setup may have been done in error or is causing this. We use T-Mobile and I used the online tool on their website, (I don't have the link handy) but I selected an alternate CECT phone, the only model they had listed, and the settings were sent to the KA08. Since it was intended for another model could this be a problem?
I really appreciate any and all info/advice anyone may provide! Thanks!
