Microsoft Active Sync has to be installed on your computer to sync your phone op, Windows Mobile with the computer contacts in that op system. It's free to download from Microsoft.

Yep BigMack is right. Well I tried to overclock with Omapclock but all I got was a lock up at 228mhz and had to do a hard reset, I have to say it scared the crapp out of me. I thought I made a new paper weight. Mike what program are you using to overclock your M88 and what speed do you have it running at and if I can ask you, can you let me know what version of Win CE you have. Mine is: CE OS 5.2.1711 (Build 18165.0.5.0). That will give me an idea weather I need to reflash the rom with a later version of the Operating system. This is real scarey for me. Joe

Hi, I loaded up that keyboard, and I have to say it is awesome it makes messaging so much easier. I also loaded up TCPMP the other day and I have to say it plays back MPEGs really nice. I have to tell you though, something is weird. I was under the impression that the ARM 926T Omap processor they use in the M88's don't scale, and that they are set to a speed of 200mhz as they say in the ads. Anyway I was checking out the Options/settings in TCPMP and on the General Page it showed information about the Phone (Language, Platform, OS Version, OEM Info, Processor, Clock Speed). Okay that's not so weird, so here is the weird bit. If you check settings/system/about, you will get info about processoer etc. in there it says ARM926T OMAP850. Now if you go to TCPMP/options/settings/Genera/ you will see what I mean. For the processor it says: ARM926E, (that not so weird I know E, T not much of a difference). But wait there's more, if the phone is at idle (nothing running in background) you will see the speed of processor at 166Mhz. I thought Oh crap it supposed to be 200mhz. A friend who is an Elect. Engineer says wait it could be because the phone is not under any load. So I ran some music in the background and IExploer then opened up TCPMP again and checked out the general page again and you wouldn't beleive it the processor speed is now 300mhz !!!. Can someone please explain, as I am under the impression these processors don't scale. Thanks for putting up with the long whinded story. Joe

Yeah Mike that's exactly what my head felt like, let me know what you come up with. Joe. PS I'm not complaining, if it really is scaling, then I am a very happy camper

no it doesn't. It does appear as a mobile phone in My Computer but contains no files inside. Anyway, that's the least of my problems. After waking up from sleep mode the phone will freeze with almost anything I run. Is there a patch to fix this? Is this a common problem? I have a lot of trouble using the phone service, it always displays en "error" notification or freezes upon dialing. The GSM works fine on other phones. Thanks for replying and please help!

These phones are very supseptible to viruses. ( Windoows Mobile) that is a possability, I think some of your USB drivers are missing from your computer. The phone is a plug and play mass storage device.
