M88 T-Mobile connection problem

Hey guys, you will have noticed that your admin has been away for awhile. Both bryce and myself have just gotten into our holidays so we will be spending a lot more time around the site and spending well needed time doing some maintenance work. Hi. I just got an m88 and put my t-mobile pay as you go sim card in the phone. But the phone just stays eternally on 'searching' and never connects to the network. The card works fine on my regular t-mobile phone, but not on the m88. When I tried changing from automatic to manual network selection, a box pops up but it's empty. Any thoughts? Thank you for your help.
