What kind of phone do I have?

Hey guys, you will have noticed that your admin has been away for awhile. Both bryce and myself have just gotten into our holidays so we will be spending a lot more time around the site and spending well needed time doing some maintenance work. This site has certainly grown since it's debut last year, and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow over the years.

Evening all
A month ago I thought I purchased a CECT 168C+ from Amazon. I am completely happy with the purchase, but after reading 683 posts in this forum I am not sure about the phone now.

Looking behind the battery is says: Made in China
Quadband
Ifone model 168C
The face has 15 icons on the screen with the four large choices under those.

It has a great radio, unfortunately I have to be using the earbuds (that also are great)., and I wish I could just listen to the phone itself without having to use the buds. I guess now I am asking two questions.
What kind of phone do I now own?
Can I listen without the earbuds?

I would say you have the C+, My label under the battery says C+. The Icons tell me it is the C+ as i have the same on mine.( well 16 Icons with Java & the 4 under and the other 5 quick touch buttons on the bottom that never change) as far as the radio without the earbuds you have to have them plugged in for the antenna. by default it does the Internal speakers and there is an option to turn off the internal speakers. I use the adapter and my wireless headphones as they have their own power for more volume and bass.

Mine by default does the internal, it might be the first or second release with different options? I dunno..but there should be an option for that.

What type/kind of headphones with adapter do you recommend for use with the phone? I would like to try something different.

Also I did read "the Pros" post, that is why I questioned what kind of phone I had in the first place... Embarassed
