How to upgrade P168+ firmware to P168C firmware!!

Hey guys, you will have noticed that your admin has been away for awhile. Both bryce and myself have just gotten into our holidays so we will be spending a lot more time around the site and spending well needed time doing some maintenance work. This site has certainly grown since it's debut last year, and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow over the years.

i think you need to really find out what phone you have. do some more research and searcht he forum for your answers.

p168+ is hardly "slim" and you are posting in the wrong topic in the first place.

but the label behind the battery says its a p168+ and it is quad band

I normally would advise anyone to stray away from that version. for the simple fact that is not really a popular version and support is slim from communities such as ours.

i do believe the flash cable is the same as the "+" and "c" versions

Hi, i'm from argentina. I have a cect p168c and i'm trying to upgrade the firmware, i have done everything that the tutorial says, but the progress in the program (flash tool 4.1) doesn't show anything. I don't now if that's normal. please answer me

Hi my phone has so many buggs like when i want to reply to text there no button to click to hit reply i cant type anything and i leave and try something new the ok option buttons are gone and will not come back till i start phone over this phone totally makes me so mad i got internet to work but its not in english even though i set it to it or internet works somtimes can someone help me uninstall and reinstall a new or firmware for this phone please

excuse me , I don't understand this, why should I upgrade from P168 + to P168 C if the first is the newest and the best? Isn't that the one with java and a bigger size memory?
I probably misunderstood, but need to understand this , i bought one in Pechino in april 08 this p168 (on the label battery) and i'd like to have a better italian menu, actually is almost not comprensible.

The Cect P Series phones are as follows: (oldest to newest) P168, P168+, P168C, P168C+. The C+ is the only one that has Java. The batteries are interchangeable and all say P168.

i just had a question, does anyones p168+ work after converting it to the p168C firmware because i tried that and it didn't work i used like every program spiderman, flash tools.

Can someone post a video converting the p168+ to the p168C
