THE BEST VIDEO METHOD FOR P168!!

Hey guys, you will have noticed that your admin has been away for awhile. Both bryce and myself have just gotten into our holidays so we will be spending a lot more time around the site and spending well needed time doing some maintenance work. This site has certainly grown since it's debut last year, and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow over the years.

We have posted a mini-forum for any other CECT phone models, we will make the consideration of making the CECT P168 Forum a CECT forum, but not in the near future, So all other CECT phone users, go check it out!

With the number of members rapidly increasing, we have decided to put a rules section on the forum, it is located here.

What about the quality of teh videos? Can they get any better or it that it? It looks worst when you expand it to full screen.

chicago1, you could try changing the frame rate to 25fps, but other than that i dont think we are gonna get any better Sad

Hi

tried this on an i9 and the settings did not work.
Says "Invalid file format"

Any ideas?

This may not be the same thing, but I get that "warning" when I try to convert a protected file on my converter.

Ok, I downloaded a movie file in the exact format it should be in (Blue Harvest from someone elses topic earlier). I dragged it into the "Video" folder. And I cant get it to show up on my phone....

I've tried naming the folder "Videos" and "Video", and I've tried making a folder within Video called "Blue Harvest" and it doesnt seem to work...

Answers? :O

OK, Im having a problem with this too...
I tried downloading "Wanted" from one of the websites listed on the forum, and when I tried to convert it I got an error message because "direct encode" was not checked. So I checked it, and tried again. Then I got another error message because direct encode WAS checked. Im not sure if its because of the download, or my copy of Super C. Anyone seen this before?

I downloaded True Romance in 3GPP format, carefully loaded and played it on my P168S. I then used a converter program called "OJOsoft Total Video Converter" to re-convert it into another 3GP profile. This converter has 5 different profiles for the 3GPP format. i re-converted True Romance using the 3GP Profile for Mobile Highest Available Quality (MPEG4 near 104 kbps, 15 fps, 174*144; AAC) setting. On my phone this improved the quality a bit. i think this might be as good as it's gonna get on a 240x400 screen.
